Unestablished Practices ImageGuidance on Unestablished Practices

There will be occasions when practitioners must implement an intervention that does not have evidence demonstrating success with the population of students with whom they are working. In these cases, practitioners are encouraged to monitor the steps they take to implement the intervention as it was originally developed (fidelity) and document any needed deviations in steps. They are also encouraged to take data on their student(s)' performance and use these data to drive future educational decisions, which may also allow contributions to the knowledge of the field.
