About this Training

New and changing support strategies are needed as students and educators adjust to new and changing environments resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. Effective practices, resources, and strategies that support students with disabilities to engage in Pre-ETS and school-based transition services in virtual, hybrid, and face-to-face learning environments are explored.

You will:

  • Learn collaboration strategies to develop and/or maintain engagement between families, education, vocational rehabilitation and other agency partners in the delivery of transition services and activities for students with disabilities
  • Identify resources, supports and tools related to pre-employment transition services that can be utilized in virtual and distance learning environments
  • Describe strategies to engage students in transition that take into account social distancing, community engagement, and the re-opening of schools, businesses and communities
