The purpose of this capacity building guidance for state interagency strategic planning is to support State Education Agencies (SEAs), Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) agencies, LEAs, and partners to:

  • strengthen SEA and VR capacity to collect, analyze, and use high-quality transition data;
  • increase capacity to deliver high-quality professional development and technical assistance;
  • strengthen youth and family engagement as authentic partners in transition systems; and
  • expand career pathways, work-based learning, internships, pre-apprenticeships, and apprenticeships.

The featured resources provide considerations, tips, and strategies for state interagency strategic planning teams to:

  • refine and align existing interagency state planning efforts;
  • use current data;
  • foster existing and establish new partnerships; and
  • utilize resources available from the NTACT:C.
