Postsecondary Education Options & Services
- Institutes of Higher Education including Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) provide services for students with disabilities when student request accommodations. Find resources on the Association of Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD) and the Campus Disability Resource Database for more information.
- Think College is a one-stop for tons of college resources for prospective students with intellectual disability (ID), their families, and their teachers. Use their College Search feature for information about colleges and universities with inclusive postsecondary education (IPSE) programs.
Preparing Students
- Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is also being used in K-12 and on campuses. Prepare your students by using UDL in your classroom so they are prepared for UDL ON CAMPUS. The site provides lots of resources and how-to’s for college instructors and administrators.
