About this Training
Part 1 focuses on planning and delivery of Pre-Employment Transition Services to students who are blind or low vision. A multi-state collaboration to create a virtual meeting space for blind student serves as a case study on how collaborative efforts achieve positive student outcomes.
Part 2 addresses critical issues affecting student outcomes. Presenters discuss best practices in collaboration, IEP/transition planning, and curriculum alignment while facilitating discussion about an educational atmosphere driven by high stakes outcomes.
You will:
- Gain knowledge of a Community of Practice composed of State VR agencies with a focus on promoting continuous improvement around planning and delivery of Pre-ETS Services for blind students
- Utilize acquired new information regarding secondary transition planning and positively affect student outcomes (PSO) into transition planning
- Create a next-steps plan for addressing their School District and Agency-based challenges in transition service provision
