About this Event

No one person or agency can meet the needs of all transitioning students; transition planning requires shared expertise and a wide range of services. During this webinar NTACT:C staff will briefly highlight the recently developed Collaboration Framework which is designed to support operationalizing collaboration at the state, local, and student/youth levels.

The webinar will spotlight the effective practices and interagency collaborations that are occurring at Riverview Intermediate Unit 6 located in rural Clarion County, Pennsylvania. RIU6 staff along with representatives from the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation and a transition-age student will highlight the various strategies, programs, and resources that have been implemented over the past several years including the Pre-Employment Transition Services, Work-Based Learning Experience, and the Youth Ambassador program.

Training Objectives:

  • Gain knowledge of interagency collaboration resources and strategies at the local and student levels in rural communities.
  • Provide opportunities for participants to identify how to use these resources and strategies in their own secondary transition practices.
