About this Event

Collaboration between vocational rehabilitation (VR), education, and other partners is an effective strategy to improve career and college readiness for high school students with disabilities. These collaborative relationships promote individualized student services, supports, and activities, as well as identify the responsibilities of transition professionals in meeting student needs.  This webinar describes how Vermont's collaborative activities have improved the coordination and delivery of pre-employment transition services to secondary students with disabilities.

Training Objectives:

  • Introduce Vermont Vocational Rehabilitation’s culture and framework for pre-employment transition services.
  • Describe lessons learned from Vermont’s implementation of a RSA-funded model demonstration to promote access and utilization of work-based learning experiences and other career readiness activities.
  • Share strategies and tools that promote effective collaboration.
  • Demonstration of collaborative efforts through a local transition team’s experiences.
