About this Event

Join us for Part 3 of exploring issues that can impact the mental health of individuals who have reached the developmental period associated with transition services. Topics to include partnering with families; supporting friends secondary to their own mental health; impact of substance use on mental health; self-care as a mental health resource.

In this webinar, we will focus on the provision of background and contextual information, delineating some risk factors for transition professionals to be aware of, and sharing some suggested practices and resources regarding these contemporary mental health related issues.

Training Objectives: 

  • Conceptualize factors that can enhance mental health via social support development.
  • Discuss how the specific topics discussed during the webinar can be used in participants job settings.
  • Identify resources and best practices for assisting students to cope and advance academically, socially, and overall.
